My parents recently took out a second mortgage for a second home. They said that it is in preparation for retirement. They are so happy to have found a place that can serve as their vacation home that is well within their budget.
The only thing is, their retirement seemed to have come too early. Ever since they got the second home, they would always be there and basically wanted to live there already. They even opened a small branch of our family business there and is out there all the time. They have moved most of the furniture from home to their vacation home. I was left with practically nothing in the first house. I suppose I understand and I had a stable enough job anyway aside from the steady income that our family business was retaining. So, I bought my own basic furniture and looked at some futons for sale where I found one that is actually very comfortable. I just hope they don’t ask me to come up with the payments for the second mortgage or all hell will break loose! I’m really happy for them.
End tables are usually used as accents. Placed at both ends of a couch it provides balance. It is also the best place to set up a decorative lamp or a bowl of fresh flowers. Some end tables are made in such a way that it has shelves and maybe a hinged cover. That way they can also be used as storage.
End tables may be made of different materials. There are glass and wrought iron end tables; there are those made of acrylic plastic. The more common ones are wood end tables. The materials for these pieces of furniture are usually made to match other furniture in the room. Expect a side table made of wood if the center table is also made of wood.
