As a homeowner, you would usually be worried about the empty hallway you would have in your home. This is especially so when this is right off after the front door, and will be the first thing that guests will catch sight of once they enter your house. It is fairly important to make a statement early on when it comes to one’s home decorations. And with an empty hallway as the first thing to view in your home, it already says a lot.

Much emphasis must be given on these spaces. The challenge that lies here though is to work with the space and decorate it, but not overwhelm the area or overcrowd it which may already affect the foot traffic. A simple half round hall table will do, and a homeowner can just simply add a few items to decorate the furniture. This way, it can serve as the focal point as soon as one steps into your house. Fresh flowers in a vase or pictures of the family are always great to have in these tables.

Working from home has its perks. For one, I get to manage my time both for my business and my family. I am able to attend activities in my kids’ schools compared to other mothers who seem to be missing out on many things. I also need not spend much for clothes, transportation and other expenses relating to the usual careers mothers have. I have the privilege of managing my own time and work whenever I feel like it.

One of the things I love most is the fact that I get to see my friends during the afternoon. Since they are full time moms, they also have the leisure of managing their time to meet and bond. We would usually have coffee and tea in my garden, where a glass accent table and wicker chairs can be found. We would usually spend the whole afternoon chatting and ranting about our lives. This is the perfect way for me to unwind and de-stress every once in a while. Moms like me deserve it too.
