Our house has been kind of empty ever since our two children went off to college. It can sometimes be depressing because I was so used with the noise that they always made when they were here. But life goes on and now my husband and I have more time with each other. He keeps himself busy with the garden while I make myself bus with the interiors of our house.

We haven’t changed the look of our house for decades and we think that now is the time to do that. He is making a lot of progress with the garden and I am proud of him. On the other hand I started with the living room and I even installed one of those water fountains indoor. It really made a lot of difference with the look of the room!

One of the things I have recently bought for myself was an antique desk. Since I have been working from home, I need a place where I can focus on my work and be more efficient. I used to work on my bed with my laptop, but this environment is simply not conducive. I would usually end up falling asleep or not having much done at all. Transforming a part of my room into an office allows me to allot a specific space where I can go to for work.

My desk is very convenient as it has ample space for all the things I need for work. I can place my laptop on the table and have plenty of room for papers and snacks. This is perfect since I would no longer have to dirty my bed whenever I would need to eat or work on a lot of documents at a time. I can systematically file and arrange everything I need without having to sit on them or have them creased. This is the best setup for a work from home gal like me.
