diningWhen it comes to entertaining guests indoors, there are two essential spaces that it’s important for the owner of the home to address; living room and dining room. These are the two spaces where most of the activity will occur. For the living room, be sure to have ample seating and many objects that can spur conversation. Just be careful not to have too much in the living room, after all, conversation should be the focus, not all of the accessories in the room or the color of the walls. For the dining room, again it’s important to have ample seating, and because of the layout of most dining rooms, this will involve having a slew of formal dining room chairs. When purchasing a dining room table, it’s also best to go for a table that has several leafs with the ability to seat people ranging from four to fourteen.

Lighting is another important factor of indoor spaces for entertaining. Be sure to incorporate soft lights like lamps and sconces as well as have a bright overhead light for events like cards, tabletop games, or reading.
